How OMUA Began
OMUA was born from my own yoga practice.
For years, I had worked in the world of fashion, but over time I began to feel a deep disconnection. I saw the overproduction, the pollution, the lack of ethics, and a constant focus on the external, on appearances rather than meaning. I wanted to create something different, something with soul.

When I began to practice Iyengar yoga, I couldn’t find shorts that felt right, not only in comfort and design, but in their origin. There were no options made consciously, with respect for the environment and for the people behind them. So I decided to make them myself.
From the beginning, I wanted a fabric that carried integrity at every stage, from the organic seed to the final thread, from spinning and dyeing to the finished garment. A fabric made in Europe, ethically produced, with transparency and care.
I have always been very sensitive to synthetic fabrics. Polyester, acrylic and plastic blends never felt right on my skin. They disconnect the body from nature and contribute to pollution on a large scale. For me, it is essential that what touches the skin is natural. That’s why I chose a fabric made of almost pure organic cotton, with only the minimum 5% of elastane needed for flexibility and durability. Even the labels are made of cotton, never polyester.

The first OMUA shorts were sewn by hand in my home. Later, I began to produce small batches in collaboration with a local sewing workshop in Barcelona. Each piece remained true to the original intention: to create something simple, functional and honest, clothing that supports the practice, honours the planet, and lasts over time.
OMUA continues to grow slowly, consciously, one piece at a time. Rooted in the values of yoga, it is a reminder that what we wear can also be a practice of awareness and respect.
